<p>On the occasion of the luncheon organised by Wildgen and Invest Hong Kong, <em>La Voix</em> reviews the concrete opportunities created by the Double Tax Treaty between Luxembourg and Hong Kong.</p>

<p>Le Grand-Duché de Luxembourg vient d’affirmer à nouveau son attractivité fiscale pour les groupes de sociétés. Depuis le 1er janvier 2008, le Luxembourg permet en effet l’exonération de 80 % des revenus courants et des plus-values générés par les éléments de propriété intellectuelle développés ou acquis par une société résidente ou un établissement stable de certaines sociétés étrangères.</p>

A Grand-ducal regulation has been passed on 14th July 2010, determining the conditions of the exemption from subscription tax granted to Microfinance funds.</h2>
<p>The performance of work by non-European employees on the Luxembourg territory was mainly governed by the provisions of the Law dated March 28, 1972 on the right of foreigners to enter and reside on the Luxembourg territory, their medical examination and the employment of foreign labor force, as amended, and by Article L. 544-1 and followings of the Luxembourg Labor Code. These legal provisions are amended by a new law voted on July 9, 2008, the Law of 29 August 2008 concerning the free move of persons and immigration.

Luxembourg Parliament has amended SICAR law dated back to 2004 in order to improve vehicle's attractiveness<br />

<p>In recent years, Luxembourg has become one of the favoured locations for private equity funds. With the new law on the investment companies in venture capitel (SICAR), its status is now greatly enhanced. On 15 October 2008, Luxembourg’s Parliament passed a new law containing a number of amendments to the original SICAR Law. Those should be considered below.</p>
